Michael Des Barres: Rock, Resilience, and the Art of Being Legendary
Michael Des Barres may be titled a Marquis, but his childhood, was anything but privileged. Michael began his life traveling around England surrounded by “colorful characters” dressed in g-strings to being sent to a Boarding school where he was fitted for his first suit and surrounded by a new crowd of characters, neither befitting of a young child.
Somehow, in spite of these experiences, or perhaps because of them, this young man grew into one of the most fascinating artists of his generation. Armed with resilience, charm, and cheekbones, Michael forged an impressive career which began with a role in the celebrated film, “To Sir With Love” and continued with memorable characters in well over one hundred television series and over thirty films. Perhaps his most loved (or hated) characters was Murdoc from MacGyver.
His love for Rock ‘n’ Roll led him to pursue an equally impressive career under the spotlight with bands like Silverhead, Detective, and Power Station. His latest album, It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll, is a heartfelt tribute to the music of the 70’s which he covers with passion and raw energy. Michael surprised me when he not only shared that he’s recording four more albums (one for each of his favorite decades of music) but when he revealed the complete track listing for the next, yet to be recorded album!
More than just a legendary rocker, Michael is the living embodiment of resilience, artistry and the enduring spirit of rock ‘n’ roll.

Quinton Kufahl: Glam-Metal Style, Stick Tricks, and Showmanship Turned Up to 11
Quinton Kufahl was greatly influenced by so many of the same bands that the rest of us were influenced by with one notable difference, he discovered them decades later. I’ve long had this fear that there wouldn’t be a next generation of great rock and metal musicians but it seems that every day a new, young, energetic, and wildly talented musician, makes themselves known. Quinton isn’t just a musician, or a drummer, he’s a songwriter, a storyteller, a filmmaker and so much more wrapped in a pretty glam-metal package.
It may have been Quinton’s drum solo, Peaches that caught my attention but his story and his passion for music are what hooked me. You’ll learn about his influences, his philosophy, and his ambitious new project, The Band Idol and I’m certain you’ll be hooked too!

Kane Roberts Talks to Metal-Net TV About His New Project, Chokehold, and the Fusion of Music, Art, Storytelling, and AI. Kane Roberts has unleashed his new project Chokehold onto the world recently and I had the opportunity to get into the weeds with him about his musical and artistic process for the project along with his surprising take on AI as it pertains to artists. Chokehold marries two of Kane’s talents, Music and Visual Effects – and he takes those talents and marries them with AI to create an insane world filled with graphic images and powerful music. Kane talks to me about the first single, “Don’t Wanna Rockstar” (featuring Anja) and allows me to go in depth on this incredible project. This is a must-watch interview!
